Partners for Africa Development (PAD) is a non for profit organization created in Minneapolis (MN) in May 2002 by a group of forward thinking West Africans residing in United States.
Several decades after completing their education, some of them visited home and witnessed a very sad situation. Children are still being schooled in straw huts, they are drinking water from streams polluted with parasitic worms, and they have no access to healthcare.
Several of these native Africans living in North America found their countries just as they have left them decades ago. It was as if time has stood still. They have also drunk from those polluted streams. They have walked miles to go to school and studied in those deplorable conditions. They have relied on luck rather than quality healthcare to recover from illness. The images came but so vividly. On the continent, children are still dying from preventable diseases as mothers watch helplessly.
Members of Partners for Africa Development have taken on the challenge to help solve these problems. We do expect from you to join us as partners so together, we can rethink, plan and rebuild communities where people can live with dignity.
Let's give them some hope.
